Composer: Chris Seed
Chris studied piano and saxophone at the Royal College of Music from 1982 to 1987. He is the inventor of the world-famous left-handed piano, a mirror-image of a conventional instrument with the keyboard and pedals built in reverse. With his unique piano, he has recorded on the Olympia label and given TV and radio broadcasts in most parts of the world. He has given recitals and workshops throughout Europe and has performed in London at Wigmore Hall, St. John's, Smith Square, Purcell Room and Queen Elizabeth Hall. He is also an International Examiner for ABRSM, examining in the Far East, Middle East and South Africa. He taught piano at Winchester College from 1993 until 2004. Working in musical theatre since 1996, he has played in more than twenty London West End shows including The Sound Of Music, West Side Story and Oliver!, and in the more recent Disney/Cameron Mackintosh Ltd UK tour of Mary Poppins.
Lyricist: Maxine Gallagher
Originally from Dublin but now living in London, Maxine is a singer/songwriter who's been a finalist in competitions including the UK Songwriting Contest, the Unisong International Songwriting Contest and the Tipperary Song for Peace Contest. She continues to perform acoustic music, accompanying herself on guitar, in venues in London and across the UK and US. A professional wordsmith, Maxine is an advertising copywriter.
